Being a photographer, it’s a given that I have an automatic love for photos.

What to expect from me as your photographer:

First off, I want you to understand a few things. Being a photographer, it’s a given that I have an automatic love for pictures - meaning, the people I love most have no choice but to take photos with me, very often (shoutout to my husband, Logan, hehe. Luckily he’s sweet and supportive of it... most of the time ;))

This being said, whenever I look back at pictures of Logan and I, I’m never drawn to the ones of us looking straight at the camera with a fake smile, (yes, I agree, the traditional posing and smiling at the camera photos ARE important and are always included in your gallery… ya get the point :))… but no, I am drawn to the ones where I can SEE and FEEL the love I have for him/the love he has for me, just by looking at the images. In fact, the photos I typically pick to get printed for my home are the ones that captured a moment- the ones that captured US as a couple - and that, my friend, is what I want for YOU when you receive a gallery from me. I want the images to tell your story by the raw emotion captured in them and that is my ultimate goal no matter what I am shooting. Families, couples, seniors, etc., I want your personalities to shine through in your photos. This goal can be easily achieved by letting loose, and being yourself during your session with me.

FAQs

You might be wondering…

“How do you get our personalities to shine through in our photos??”

I think I can best answer this question by saying, I just know what it’s like being on the other side of the camera! I take this to heart when I’m photographing others.

Basically, my goal is to never leave you hanging and instead, do simple tasks that feel natural to you. For example, for couples, it’s easy for you to run together holding hands, dance/twirl around together, take a piggy back ride, whisper an inside joke in your partner's ear, etc. For families with kiddos, it’s fun for the kids to play a game of tag, do a game of Ring Around the Rosie, take turns at being the tickle monster, etc. - These are all ways that I successfully capture natural smiles and authentic laughs. While I guide you to do these simple (maybe goofy) tasks, you will feel a sense of direction that will put you at ease and let your personality shine! No stress- we will have FUN and your moments together will be magical on camera.

How do you pick a location for my session?”

I’m a small town girl, meaning, if you ask for my advice on where to take your photos, 90% of the time it’s going to be in a dreamy field with tall grass or a spot surrounding mountain views (gotta take advantage of these beautiful North Georgia mountains, right?!!)

However, I will say, my creative heart does a little happy dance when I get to shoot in unique places that best describe your personality. I’m not opposed to shooting in a cute little town, finding a parking garage in the city, or making a trip to your grandparents house on a special piece of land. There are endless opportunities to find a location that best suits YOU.

Tell me your vision, and I promise we will find the PERFECT spot.

What if it rains on our scheduled shoot day?”

It happens! Sometimes it turns out to be bad weather on your photoshoot day and that is totally out of our control. We will reschedule for the earliest available date!

What time of day is best for my session?”

I typically shoot during the evenings, an hour before sunset- up until sunset. Mornings (a couple hours after sunrise) also guarantee beautiful light. I try to stay away from shooting in the middle of the day, as it is very bright, harsh light and doesn’t give you the flexibility to shoot wherever you want.

I’m all about the simple things of life- they are truly what make me the happiest.

With all of this being said, if you feel we are a good fit for each other, let’s make some magic happen!
